After you have registered for our client portal, downloading the “RBC Connect” mobile app will provide you with freedom, flexibility and secure on-the-go access to information and tools to help enhance your experience.

To download the app

Open the App Store® or Google Play® and type “RBC Connect” in the search bar. Once you’ve found the “RBC Connect” app, proceed to download. On iOS, you will be required to enter your Apple ID, use Touch ID or Face ID to install, and on Android you may be required to enter your password to install.

Secure access

Enable two-step authentication to add an extra layer of security by requiring a passcode in addition to your user ID and password. Certain cash management features will require that you use two-step authentication to confirm your identity.

Cash management*

  • Transfer funds: The RBC Connect mobile app provides three ways to move money between accounts you own—between two internal accounts, from an external account depositing to an internal account and from an internal account to an external account. You can view the status of a transfer funds request or cancel a scheduled transfer directly from the app.
  • Bill pay: Conveniently make payments to merchants or to individual payees. Enrollment required.
  • Debit card management: Manage your debit cards and create travel notices.

Mobile check deposit

With mobile check deposit, you can quickly and easily deposit a check to your eligible non-retirement accounts by taking a photo of the front and back of a properly endorsed check with your device’s integrated camera. Follow the steps within the app to select which account to deposit into, verify deposit amounts and capture check images.¹ There is a daily deposit limit of $100,000 and a monthly deposit limit of $250,000. The feature is available for checks less than 6 months old from the date of issue and non-postdated.² Once the deposit is made, you will receive a confirmation via email.

To get the best performance and security, ensure your device is running the latest version of iOS (10.0 or later) or Android (5.0 Lollipop or later).

  1. Before depositing, verify:
    • The check is payable to the account owner or RBC Capital Markets, LLC (do not use the name of the financial services provider your financial professional represents), and endorsed on the back by the account holder
    • A date, month and year appear on the date line of the check
    • The written amount in the “Pay to the order of” line matches the $XX cash amount
    • Routing and account number on the check are not written over
  2. Additional checks not eligible for mobile deposit include cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks, starter checks, international checks and U.S. savings bonds. Checks deposited before 4:00 p.m. Central will be posted in the account the same business day. Checks deposited after 4:00 p.m. will be available after 12:30 p.m. Central the following business day.
