Managed account solutions

Easily access an entire suite of RBC Wealth Management-sponsored programs as well as additional managed account offerings.*

RBC Unified Portfolio

RBC Unified Portfolio (RBC UP) is a Unified Managed Account (UMA) program that allows your clients to integrate third-party money managers, wrap eligible mutual funds, exchange traded funds and closed-end funds in one account with one statement and one 1099—all for one fee, with no ticket charges, based on account value. Tax management capabilities and strategies for SRI screens/impact investing are also available.

Within RBC UP, you also have access to a unique offering of lower-cost, small account solutions.

Consulting Solutions

Our Separately Managed Account (SMA) gives your clients access to roughly 40 third-party institutional money managers with upwards of 80 strategies to choose from.

  • Choice of pre-screened investment managers
  • In-depth reporting
  • Full ownership of securities

RBC Advisor

Our client-directed, non-discretionary advisory program offers a cost-effective way to build and manage fee-based portfolios.

  • Access to more than 1,700 wrap-eligible mutual funds, ETFs and other securities
  • One quarterly, asset-based fee
  • No front-end or back-end loads and no ticket charges as long as the account stays within its stated trade allotment

RBC Portfolio Blueprint

Financial professionals who use our clearing services can also utilize RBC Portfolio Blueprint. It’s a framework of coordinated advice and solutions featuring thought leadership from the RBC Wealth Management Portfolio Advisory Group.

  • Gain access to expertise
  • Deliver turnkey or tailored portfolio solutions, based on your clients’ needs
  • Offer a transparent investment strategy
  • Provide institutional quality risk management
  • Take advantage of insightful quarterly commentary

This framework is also the foundation for RBC Clearing & Custody’s discretionary portfolios, which are available through the RBC UP program.

Simplify account opening and maintenance

Clients who have an RBC managed solution (i.e. RBC Advisor, Consulting Solutions or RBC Unified Portfolio) complete one Advisory Master Services Agreement (AMSA), which may cover multiple accounts under their client record. The AMSA also allows clients to provide verbal instruction pertaining to their RBC managed solution (e.g. change allocation, change money manager, hire money manager, terminate, etc.).

Advisory account technology

Powered by Envestnet, our AdvisoryLink advisory account technology makes it easy to open, maintain, review and close all RBC-sponsored advisory programs—RBC UP, RBC Advisor and Consulting Solutions. It helps streamline advisory business management and creates efficiencies for your financial professionals and your management team.
