As chief revenue officer, Kelly Johnson is responsible for all revenue-generating activities, including sales, marketing, business development and relationship management.
Since 1994, Kelly has expanded her expertise in the clearing and custody business, and has a passion for making a positive impact on broker-dealer and registered investment advisor firms, and their financial professionals. Since she joined RBC in 2002, Kelly’s held multiple roles, including head of client experience. Her broad operations experience, passion for relationship management and commitment to leadership development all contribute to her success in helping firms achieve their business goals.
Kelly earned her bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing from the University of St. Thomas. She’s a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and passed the Series 7 and 63 license exams. She is a past member of the RBC Wealth Management–U.S. Diversity Leadership Council, co-chairs the RBC Wealth Management Women’s Summit and is a founding member of the RBC Women Empowered (RBC WE) employee resource group. Kelly is a TeamWomen 2024 WaveMaker Award honoree, earning recognition as a trailblazer; and recognized by Twin Cities Business among the 2026 Notable Women in Banking & Finance.
The 2026 Twin Cities Business Notable Women in Banking and Finance award was announced April 2026.
