He\u2019s responsible for the growth and delivery of products, services and advice to retain and attract independent broker-dealers and registered investment advisory firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s currently a member of the RBC Wealth Management \u2013 U.S. Executive Committee and is Junior Achievement of the North Board Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1988, he began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving to RBC in 1994. Prior to his current role, he was the chief operating officer for RBC Clearing &amp; Custody, where he oversaw administrative functions, operational controls and managed business risk. He also implemented business initiatives and worked closely with Global Wealth Services, Operations, Compliance and Legal within RBC Wealth Management on matters influencing RBC Clearing &amp; Custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brett earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and a master\u2019s degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas. Brett has passed the Series 7 and 24 securities license exams and completed the Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-disclaimer\">RBC Clearing &amp;
